My Soul My Body

“Chitto jetha bhoysunyo, uccho jetha shir” (Rabindranath Tagore).
“Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high”

It is a story of an unknown woman. She is neither great, nor majestic or glorious but exalted with her setting beauty and blazing eyes with self-respect. Yes, she is a woman, with one and only identity and that is, she is a loving, affectionate, magnanimous and humble mother.
She doesn’t expect important from others anymore; neither would she accept disrespect from anyone. She lives in poverty in a broken house but she is not despondent. She once had a good house, a happy family but now she is alone accepting neighbors’ frown.
The self-employed woman earns her livelihood from a profession, which always, is looked down upon. The job in reality is as dignified as it could be. She is proud and happy with her living as a dedicated nude model in an art college. Her self-confidence boosts her to say “Why should I bother about society, when this society never extended any support to a helpless woman like me?” She knows she has to go alone even if nobody holds her hands.

“Jodi tor daak sune keu na ashe, tobe ekla cholo re” (Rabindranath Tagore).
“If they answer not to they call walk alone”
