Graffiti is writing or drawings made on a wall or other surface, usually without permission and within public view. Graffiti ranges from simple written words to intricate wall paintings, and has subsisted since ancient times.
We appreciate other countries for their skills in terms of street and wall art but less do we know that India is a country filled with such wall artists that leave a mark that one would not like to wash off.
There are a lot of things that i love about Varanasi and each time i visit there, the list keeps growing. The city is no doubt vibrant with its colors and smell. Varanasi trip. Now due to the Swach Bharat Abhijaan, they are getting removed by the government. Every time I travel to Varanasi, my eyes find some new wall art on the roads, ghats and even in the alleys. In this blog, i am going to take you on a journey through the amazing Varanasi street art and wall paintings.
To be honest, Indian cities and towns never had a thriving wall art scene before. But the scene is changing now. It is always good to see the lifeless walls and spaces being filled with colors and ideas!
